A day in the life...

First of all I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who stopped by yesterday and left comments wishing Izzy and myself a great night, they were very much appreciated. Izzy had a lovely night and I just wanted to show you how she looked so here we go...

There she is (in white) with her best friend Evie. Izzy is wearing mucci & me, necklace mum's own, make-up by mum and hair by Izzy, clutch by ruby & kit, shoes (not shown) by catwalk. I thought she looked lovely. It was a beautiful and warm day in Sydney,  perfect weather for a formal...
Meanwhile her baby sister Georgia (who loves animals and her dollies) took her favourite soft toy (a doggie) outside and had fun splashing and dancing around for a short while. The garden is so green and lush at the moment, it's just an explosion of colours and wonderful sounds...

I was thinking that in ten years time little Georgia will be getting ready for her year 10 formal...scary, isn't it? I don't want my children to grow, I just want to cuddle them forever...well I can't really do much about the growing up bit unfortunately, can I?
Next up will be Lucas and his dinner dance, we are looking forward to that and luckily he is a boy...at least we won't have to worry about hair and make up this time!

Take care,

Claudia xo

  11. She is so lovely! There is no way she is 10?! I loved your previous post, and am so happy that you "drew the line"...it is such a hard thing to do as a parent, but I often worry about what I am setting my children up for if we give them all that they want. We as women I am sure always remember an event or dinner where we wanted some fabulous outfit that did not fit in the budget...and had to go with plan B ~ which often works out far better! I used to be a makeup artist for many years, and I do know that when someone else does your "face", it often does not at all reflect the person ...she probably would not have felt like herself, and she looks SO lovely as she is! Brava Mom!

    @ Nathalie
    Izzy is 16 (you probably got confused when I said "in 10 years time..." she's 10 years older than Georgia! x)

    @something gorgeous

  16. Oh your daughter and her friend both look stunning; I love their outfits - they both look very chic! It's amazing time flies so it is important to document these milestones and celebrate them so you can always look back on such beautiful memories xx

  17. Oh she looks so fabulous & such a pretty dress, age appropriate & really suits her fabulous figure. I love that my girls have formals on the horizon, it's so exciting. I hope they let me put them in Alannah Hill, thankfully they trust my taste. My son will be so boring in a suit, oh well, maybe in a few years boys will be wearing something a little more groovy than just a dinner suit?? Mind you, with 4 children, am i looking for more work in the dressing-teens department?? Love Posie
    PS what school does your daughter go to?? I went to Ravenswood & went to some fantastic formals.
