Elizabethan inspired

A most captivating era named after Queen Elizabeth I...the era of explorers, Shakespeare, the first theatres, the sumptuous banquets, the enchantresses - also known as "wicces" -  such a fascinating period in history...

Postcards from Port Stephens

Schools are back and everything is back to normal. We have enjoyed a few days away in Port Stephens (2 and half hours drive north of Sydney). We stayed at Peppers Anchorage a beautiful resort right on the water, it was magical! We all needed the break and definitely enjoyed the walks, the spa and sauna (especially moi!) the pool, buffet breakfast and all the rest.  You do get a bit spoilt at Peppers! :)

our rooms (bottom right hand side) were the perfect spot to admire the beautiful yachts

the pool - the kids loved it

Thanks again for your comments and your support especially lately that I haven't been able to comment on a lot of my favourite blogs (it's very frustrating) but it's great to see how you still take the take to stop by and leave a comment - I appreciate it a lot.

Well, back to work now...wish you all a great rest of the week :)

Catch up soon xo

Inspire me Monday / natural beauty

It seems crazy but it's true, it's October! What are your plans for this month? Anything in particular?
This month I'd like to cross a thing or two off my "to do list"...fingers crossed!
We are still in holiday mood here, kids are enjoying their break. There's always so much they want to do during the holidays but not enough time - we always run out (!) We do try our best but I guess it's also nice to have something to look forward to for the summer holidays ;)

In Australia we are very lucky as we are surrounded by so many beautiful parks, amazing landscape everywhere we go - making it incredibly easy for parents like me to organise a day out with the family.

The Bobbin Head national park for example is only a hop and a skip from where we live, it has a lot to offer and although the kids have been many times over the years it's always lovely to spend the day or half a day there

There's a lot to see, a lot to discover

An incredible light in the afternoon...

and gorgeous views...

What more would you ask for? Very spoilt indeed.

Wish you all a fantastic week :)
