Rustic

Good morning and happy Thursday everyone! The children are back at school today and the house feels a bit strange without them...am not complaining though, I'm looking forward to a bit of peace and quiet, silence can be pure bliss sometimes :))

Thought I'd share some images from my "Rustic file" today. I love all things rustic, old, recycled, with character. Perfection is not for me, it doesn't "grab" me. Don't get me wrong, I admire it but I just couldn't live with it, it's just one of those things...I love warmth and coziness at home, it's always been that way. How about you? What makes you happy at home? Share if you dare...;)

Have a fantastic day

  1. Looks like we were on the same wave length today with out posts..just cant get enough of beautiful charming rustic spaces ..an eclectic mix of old and new is pretty much my style..for eg: in your second image...you have a luxurious dark velvet sofa teamed up with an old recycled door that has been transformed into a fabulous coffee table...I like little pieces that tell a story ...for me my home had definitely got to be inviting, cosy with a touch of luxury... :)

  3. I love the rusticness of my jarrah floorboards, although I've spent hours restoring them and making them shine, at the same time I love their imperfections and different coloured streaks in the wood

  7. Hi Claudia
This styling is innate, isn't it? From within. You accumulate/find/create yourself. So much nicer than mass-produced 'style'. Gorgeous images. I want.... I want.........
