what is grief?

For my dear friend Susan and her family.
Susan's life was destroyed last Friday when her beloved John died...He was the most amazing husband, dad, friend...kind, generous, loyal. His life cut short by illness... why? Life is just not fair.

Here's a collection of images from Le tour. John was a fan. And he was a great cyclist himself.
It's my own humble way to pay tribute to a true gentleman, a top bloke.
We will always remember you John. RIP.

  1. Death is sad. However, in time you will begin to feel the person's spirit around you - in nature, in music, in art, everything he loved about life. The most important thing is to tell people about what a beautiful person he was; to keep his legacy alive so that others will know what a wonderful man lived on this Earth. I do this with my Father.

  2. Claudia - a beautiful quote and remembrance. Our heart goes out to your friend, Susan, to her family and to you, too.

  3. Claudia,
My heart goes out to you and to Susan and her family. I've never seen that quote before, but it is so very true.

  4. Dear Claudia,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend's family ~ I am so sorry for your loss.

  5. Such sad news. What a lovely tribute you've given John, though, Claudia x

  6. I lost a dear friend at Christmas last year. It still makes no sense but I remember her with love and appreciate what life offers me more appreciatively than before her passing. This is a lovely post in memory of your friend Claudia. May he rest in peace. x KL
