Inspiration for a rainy day

It's been raining non stop in Sydney since yesterday...The rain makes me feel kind of strange and happy at the same time, it's always been this way since I was I little girl
There's something quite powerful about the unpredictability of the weather, don't you think? I find myself staring at the window (constantly) with a mixture of voracity (that of a lion) and incredibility (that of a child) if possible at all...I can't seem to get enough of it.
I find it difficult to concentrate and I get hardly any work done...

It's difficult to find pictures to match that feeling of strange liberation, of freedom that the rain generates  in me...

    Raining heavily here in Newcastle. I love the rain, especially when I'm at home and can watch through the window in my warm house.

    It is set in rain here today. I quite like it when it is steady and I get to stay inside doing whatever I like. I especially like it at night, listening to it as I fall asleep...so peaceful. Leahx

    It has just started raining here after a long, hot couple of months without any. I'm jumping for joy because now I don't have to water our new little seedlings this afternoon! Breathing in the delicious smell... and loving the image you have chosen. gxo

    The rain is amazing when you're inside and warm and dry :) I agree, it is powerful and beautiful though.

    There is no rain for a very long time in southern Germany.

    Foggy London, unfortunately was supposed to go out rowing this morning. Ended up having to be in the inside training center... pretending you are in a boat. Much better out now.. but darkness is coming too quickly!!!

    I love the rain! It makes me feel cosy and safe. I was planning on a big rainy week this week {via the weather man} but it hasn't rained much here - yet. I'm hoping for cosy rainy day today. Happy rainy day to you, Claudia x

    it has been super rainy here lately and somewhat cold. today was super windy and cold. so, who knows what tomorrow will bring :)
