Interior design inspiration / trendy restaurant design

 I stumbled across this beautiful restaurant/cafe on Bookmarc and fell completely in love with it.

It's located in Collins Street, Melbourne. 

Designed by arkee creative,

it has a beautiful european feel, great details, including greenery, texture, high ceilings, beautiful windows, the whole lot.

It's a perfect example of creative, clever and well thought through interior design.

The invisible frame

It's unusual to see interiors in which only one colour has been used throughout.

When that happens the result can be inspiring.

Visually it'll look like the rooms melt into one another 

creating a subtle and delicate design.

The walls, floors and panels are all in the same colour, there is no contrast and no obvious framing, often the furniture assume a sculptural quality in the design and the windows can be viewed as artwork. 

The result, as I see it, is a combination of enchanting romanticism and calm classicism,

a rejection to constraint and limitation.

It's soothing living at its best.

A great way to create an elegant and timeless home.

New workshops at caldesign

The Dynamic Room Design workshop provides the opportunity to explore and build upon your room decorating ideas and you will come away with a clear and concise plan of action to make your project a reality.

Jennifer French, Principal of Inside Out Colour and Design, will guide you towards your finished room. Through a fun and interactive session, you will not only have access to Jennifer’s years of experience and knowledge but also gain insight from other participants.

Bring along details of the room you would like to improve including photos, measurements and any objects you may like to incorporate into your design. Through the workshop you will create an inspiration board with fabrics, colours and images to help you on your way!

Price of the workshop: $150 pp

The Create your own corsage/posy workshop is a great way to meet like minded people and play with your favourite blooms. You will learn to make a lovely corsage or small posy and will leave us with your own beautiful creation.  This is always a popular workshop.

On my inspiration board this week are

The colour scheme in this one is great

I am loving dark cabinets and lighter walls at the moment,

it can be a nice change from the all white/off white scheme that tends to

dominate the industry
