Festive

The festive season has officially begun at our house, the tree has come out of the box and so have various decorations, nativity sets, reindeers, garlands, the lot...and although this year I have fallen in love with the scandinavian Xmas images I see all over the net (dreamy whites and gorgeous blues mixed with silver...sigh!) my Xmas tree is going to look very different...lots of red, green, some silver, some gold and all the other bits and pieces that we have collected over the years; some handmade by the children at school some at home, some gifts and so on... It's all going to be very colourful and different from what I see around which I like and plus it's us...which I like a lot!

(Images from around the house, kids building the tree, baubles and stars and festive hints on my desk :))

I'm going to add some real pine branches later on on the mantlepiece and a few more places (gotta have a mixture of real and fake and definitely can't be without the beautiful pine scent at Xmas time)

Come back to see what our decorated tree + house looks like a bit later on ;)

Have a joyful week,

Claudia xo

  1. Your kids are so cute and look happy to be helping with the tree...and I love those baubles and lights in the green glass jar. I have some in clear glass jars, but it's the green that elevates it to a new level.

  3. YOur daughter is so adorable - so full of anticipation!

That's the fun of Christmas, I think, the pleasure of rummaging through the box to find treasures of old. xx
