Sweet 16

My eldest daughter Isabella turns 16 today - I cannot believe I am the mother of a 16 yo!
It's pretty scary let me tell you...he he!...

It is a special day and we are going to celebrate with a lovely
family get together....can't wait!  :))

It is cold, rainy and miserable in Sydney today and I'm craving my daily dose of vitamin D...sadly it is obvious that I'm not going to get any, any time soon...hence my nostalgic mood and a strong desire for sun filled rooms and warm sunny days...

Forgive me everyone for not visiting your delightful blogs as much this week but it has been hectic as we are preparing to move out of our lovely place, the place we have called home for the past 15 years and where our children have taken their first steps and celebrated all their birthdays... It's time to move on unfortunately and it's going to take a bit of time to pack ourselves up and go but if we do it slowly perhaps the whole experience is going to be a little bit less traumatic!?... Well I'm hoping so anyway.  This week we have started planning and sorting and now I'm just dreaming of a very quiet and blissful week-end...
Before I go though I'd like to welcome all my new followers and thank you everyone for taking the time to stop by and leave your comments, they are so precious to me and they do put a smile on my face.

award time & scandinavian interiors

Good morning everyone.

First of all I would like to thank Georgina @ little dream girl 

for awarding "wish you were here" the

it's a great honour! I'm thrilled :))

Now as you all know I need to reveal seven things about myself and 

pass the award on to five fabulous bloggers (love that part)!

here are the seven things...

1) I sort everything into colours! I'm such a pain but I cannot help myself!
Might have something to do with the colour consultancy business?!...;

2) I cannot resist a crusty loaf of bread! (my italian heritage perhaps?...);

3) Beautiful interiors make my heart go all funny! Strange but true...(you might have 

guessed that one already by now?!);

4) I have a dream...I'd love to move to the country one day...:);

5) I collect spoons but do not have a dedicated cabinet for my collection
(not yet anyway...);

6) I'm a bit old fashioned when it comes to writing...I prefer pen and paper (beautiful

paper, lots of different colours) to write notes, cards, letters and so on;

7) I love baking cakes, biscuits, tarts...you name it! I'm addicted to it!
