Another Monday, another week...

Hope you all had a great w/end. 

Today the kids have gone back to school and things are a bit more peaceful around here - which means I can do a a bit more work - well theoretically I can!

This house in Barcelona has been redecorated by Montse Esteva. I just love the look: the B&W theme, the colours in the bedroom (I adore the bedspread) and of course the kitchen is no exception. My spanish fascination continues...and my spanish week is now turning into a spanish month...!:))

I'm taking a short break from drawing...I'm really enjoying my work but I often need to pause - my neck is not in great shape at the moment.
When I'm alone you'll find me in my bedroom with my ipod and my laptop, being inspired by beautiful blogs...

The bedroom above looks so comfortable and just reminds me of my own :))

First of all I really want to thank all of you my incredible followers and visitors who make every single one of my days sweeter and happier with your gorgeous comments and your lovely compliments.
By taking the time to stop by you inspire me to keep searching and discovering great new sites everyday and by sharing some wonderful images I am able to give life to my thoughts, dreams and ideas.
In the next week or so I'll be on a tight schedule, trying to complete some artwork I've been working on for a while now, so please forgive me if I won't be visiting your blogs as much - but I promise that I'll be back to normal very soon and will reply to each one of your comments personally.

Today I'd like to dedicate a post to our beautiful country. Although it is a day of celebrations I cannot help but thinking of all of those who have been left in despair, those who have lost their homes and businesses lately and that are struggling daily to come back to normality. My heart goes out to everyone in need and their families. There are so many faces to Australia and I feel that the image above, from the set of Australia the movie really captures the spirit of the nation and reminds us of its generosity, beauty, tribulations, hopes and truth.

Kitchen story

I found this stunning image on the atlanta homes magazine and had to share it. 
The materials used are gorgeous and so is the colour scheme. The lighting, wall cladding, storage and all other details have been thought through beautifully and make this kitchen an entertainer's dream! 
I must admit I do have a thing for kitchens and being a food lover (and italian) doesn't help! I spend a lot of time in my own k and love baking, so when it comes to lay out I prefer an open plan space where I can comfortably cook and - at the same time - be with my children + chat and entertain my friends without having to compromise on beauty or practicality. 
How do you like your kitchen? :))

Pale beauty

Aren't pale interiors scary? Well I think they are - especially if you have young children - and if you are anything like me you'll try and steer away from them when possible... but somehow, like the forbidden apple in the Garden of Eden, I just can't help dreaming about a pale floor and pale furniture...sigh!

Happy new week everyone! Hope you had a lovely week-end. Mine was hot! As some of you may already know, Sydney has experienced some pretty hot weather lately but am not complaining of course, am just grateful actually for the sunny and beautiful days we've had lately :))
Today I would like to dedicate a post to a wonderful australian designer - am sure most of you already know who am talking about -  I mean does she need introductions? She's Anna Spiro of course of Black & Spiro in Brisbane and this is her lovely home. Isn't it gorgeous? I think it's refreshing, happy and chic just like Anna's work. Enjoy!

My thoughts today go to all people in Queensland whose lives have been devastated by the recent floods. I have heard today that things are not so good in Brisbane and that a lot of businesses and houses have been evacuated, I just hope that everything will be okay. The thought of loosing treasured possessions, houses and businesses is such a scary one, noone will ever be ready to face such a catastrophe.

I really hope everyone will be back to their homes and beds soon,
