A birthday celebration

Ingredients

4/6 cases of Champagne (french if possible with pretty pink labels)

Balloons (lots of them, pink + silver)

1 birthday cake (luscious and pretty, enough to feed everyone)

Music

Finger food

Presents (lots and lots of them) 

On the day remember to fill the room with balloons (don't forget the music and the food) 

When your friends arrive...open the Champagne, fill the glasses, relax, mingle and have a great time oh and don't forget to thank everyone for coming and for the presents!

Happy birthday to my beautiful Izzy, she's 17 today! It seems like yesterday that she was crawling around and watching the Wiggles on TV...wow, time does fly...I can't believe I have a 17 yo!

This lovely home in Tasmania has beautiful high ceilings, timber beams, recycled floorboards, a fireplace and a piano....wouldn't it be the perfect refuge for the weekend? I mean what else could one possibly ask for...? Such a beautiful part of the world, I'm so ready to go...but need to wait just a little bit longer...:)

Inspire me Monday / sorting, packing, moving...

Happy new week everyone! As some of you may already know our house was on the market and it's now been sold. Yay! Excitement, happiness and relief are definitely all there as well as  fear, panic, agitation...I must say that the level of anxiety is not too bad at the moment but it's bound to increase by the minute (I think) as I start to realise what moving really means and how much there is to be organised, arranged, co-ordinated... "People do it all the time" it's what I keep telling myself over and over (while writing my "to do list"). Of course there's the sorting out which kind of kick starts the whole process (wish me luck with the hundreds of kids' toys accumulated over 16 years not to mention all the baby/kids clothes that I just couldn't give away...!) then of course there's the packing which shouldn't be as painful (or is it?) Any advise, suggestions, encouragement will be greatly appreciated, so please take the time to comment below my lovelies as I'll be really looking forward to reading your thoughts and recommendations :)

A little break...

Lately I've been tired and have been struggling (a bit) to keep up with things in the blogsphere (too much on at home!)...I have decided that it is time for me to take a little break, it won't be too long, just a week perhaps, see how I go...

I want to move in...
